Been a while

Its been a while since I wrote.
Do you ever just feel like not saying or expressing your feelings at all....just being in a cocoon , housing it all in. For a while I didnt feel like talking to you guys...ofcourse nothing that you did ...its just I felt like I didnt want to speak @ all. Sometimes I wish people had mind reading abilities so I wont have to voice what I want out loud.
But I am back....I promise my Selective Muteness will be turned off for the week.
Lots to do...
Lots to say....

But got to run...time to work.

christmas tree

I love the holiday season, the energy changes...so full of love and life. Today I finally put up the christmas tree. I am very proud...lol. My theme was orange...well actually rustic orange/ bronze & silver/ crystal clear. So there I spent the majority of my day ornament shopping. So many beautiful decorations. So many things you can do...I got a little creative and place fake birds , pumpkins and sunflowers & daisys in the tree. My mother taught me to use flowers as tree fillers...works every time...so my christmas tree had more of a "Fall season look". I like.
anyway this is going be short , cause tired. I was going speak about a little road rage incident today but its taking too much of my energy just to type this sentence..s0 will leave that for next time. Remind me to rant and rave about impatient drivers & tailgaiting.

"STEALI-F*CKIN-BILITY" yes jackass its a word!

MEN Are idiots...bonifide idiots. Prime example my brother...(yes people I am going to rant, cause my brother refused to talk to me to let me curse him out , so I will vent here!)

My happy go lucky bloody brother called me @ 715 this AM, he is currently visiting my mother and one of his daughters before he ships off. The conversation goes like this...

"I am trying to call your mother (yes we donot stake claim to our parents when sh*t happens), she wont pick up her cell, someone broke into her car."

So me being the freaking "NOAH" of the family, contacts my mother @ her job and tells her to call her son ASAP (yes I didnt stake claim to him either). Ofcourse I think...sure NY isnt the safest of cities...but a thief wont break into someone's car unless they see something to steal..."Stealibility". I actually took a college course on this ..."the smaller the object & easier to carry
(portablity) + visibility = stealibility."
I have told my brother 50 mother loving times...donot ..I repeat donot leave anything in the car...but he has left GPS systems over night, PSPs, CDs and even his bloody wallet in plain sight in the car. But he always believes its "SAFE". Even after 3 months ago his own car was broken into. I would love to swim in the river of DENIAL he likes to do backstrokes in.
So ofcourse when I got that initial phone call he failed to mention the GPS system he left in the car...the GPS system that I paid for , worked extra hours to pay for..that I was conned into buying for my mother cause she refused to drive to fucking New Jersey without a GPS (like MAPQUEST wasnt invented).
So 40 minutes later from our initial conversation...me all this while thinking..."I will send my mother some money to fix her window..and the tires the theives slashed" , me thinking I take responsibility cause I know its just my mom..and she needs help. But soon as I heard this smart ass, Mr- I know- it -all, Mr- I am in the fucking NAVY, Mr-I survived Afganistan and Iraq but I dont know the first rules of street fucking sense in the borough of Brooklyn is not to leave anything in my fucking car.....yes I fucking flipped!
You know he has been living in Maryland to mother loving long. So because he refused to take the phone like a man so I can curse him out properly and rather hear me screaming via speaker phone to my mother about what a idiot of a son she has ...who I vow will now be paying for the window & tires.

And I realised its not only him...my significant other is guilty of the same bloody thing...he leaves his GPS system in his car....Does it bug me everytime I see it ..yes...ofcourse this SMART ASS's excuse is "This is not NY". Well guess fucking what...THIEVES LIVE EVERYWHERE...and SUCKERS ARE THEIR NEIGHBROURS!

*Sighs* I feel much better that I got this out of my system....venting is good *deep breathes*
And again I apologize for my "french" as the term goes.*rolls eyes @ my insincere apology*

Anyway people I am off to bed...its early and the stupidity has just began....*sighs*

six days!!!!

I got a mini vacation I didnt know I had coming....last week I had three days off...then was scheduled to work one day and then off for the other two....but luck would have it, we had a low census and I was called off....and wasnt called back on for the two days I was off. So technically I had 6 days of freedom and I did absolutely nothing! Okay I did laundry....and that was the extent of my productivity. I know I should have cleaned the house...but its already clean...go to the DMV ..hmm I wasnt in the mood for lines....or did something that said "I had 6 days off and I accomplished this..and whip out my long list" ...but I did non of that. Most of it I spent in bed...sometimes with hubby , sometimes with Diana Palmer (slowly getting into her books)..and sometimes with the characters on Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Life and the Office (caught up on my online tv).
This week is Thanksgiving and Hubby's sis is in town and we decided to do dinner here. This is my first time even attempting to make a holiday meal for anyone , much less his family...so I am a bit nervous. He may not think its a big deal, but to me it is....although he was uber excited himself...lol..he even made the menu...I dont think he sees how nervous I am about it. I am kind of looking forward to it all though...I have to make some phone calls and make sure I get some things right...I am making ham. Yes no turkey...ham is just as good and delicious. But the main thing is that I havent finished giving the house a "Holiday feel" yet. And with my working for the next two days I wonder if I will have time to do so. I also need to get fire wood for the fire place. And more dinning room chairs... as well as fix up the downstairs bathroom. It feels like I have alot to do and no time..now that I have scoundered 6 days. Nice going huh?!
*sighs*
Anyway thats my update for the week...and yeah I got my parking space back ..for now...the battle continues..*takes out my sword* "ON GUARD!!!" *thrusts forward* "Yah!"

I am this petty? should I be like this guy...hmm...thinking about it

Attleboro, Mass. threatens blind woman over 1-cent water bill

Eileen Wilbur, a 74 year-old blind woman living by herself, recently got a nasty shock when her daughter was helping her go through her mail. Apparently, Ms. Wilbur had failed to pay part of a water bill from the preceding year, and the city was now threatening her with a lien against her home. The bill, which Attleboro officials noted was among 2,000 that went out, was for one cent. The letter went on to inform Ms. Wilbur that, unless she paid by December 10, she could face a $48 penalty, in addition to court proceedings. As her daughter, Rose Brederson, noted, Ms. Wilbur has lived in the house for almost 50 years and would most certainly pay the penny. However, given that the bill cost 42 cents to mail, one wonders how the City of Attleboro hopes to make its money back. What's more, while Ms. Wilbur is undoubtedly an outlier, it's reasonable to ask how many of the 2,000 bills, which cost $840 to mail, were worth less than the price of postage. When confronted with this situation, City Collector Debra Marcoccio responded by pointing out that Attleboro's billing is completely automated, and is not audited by human beings. She went on to defensively ask why Ms. Wilbur didn't pay the one cent the year before, when it was first due. Like anyone else who's ever been through this sort of mess, I have a pretty good idea about what happened: the 1¢ bill is either unannounced interest on the water bill, or represents fractions of pennies that have accrued on Ms. Wilbur's account, which the billing software decided to add to her latest bill. Regardless, this is the sort of thing that any human being (or even a bureaucrat) with a fully-functioning cerebral cortex could probably have handled with a minimum of fuss.
Have you ever disputed a late charge you thought unfair?
YesNoVoteLike almost everybody, I've had a few problems with automatic billing. My personal bete noir was Virginia Tech. When I was in college, I would occasionally find my account blocked because of library fines, accrued pennies, or some other incredibly minor issue. Given that my access to the dining halls, the library, my grades, and all university services depended on having my account open, these little issues often became big problems rather quickly. The final time this happened, however, I was living off campus, preparing my own meals, and generally out of the reach of the big, bad campus cash cow. Consequently, I decided to have a little fun.First off, I sent a check to the University. I apparently owed them $6.93, but I paid them a full $7. I then proceeded to mail them increasingly nasty letters demanding repayment of my 7¢. I threatened to block their account, take them to court, and report them to various credit agencies. I was enjoying myself until the University ruined the fun by sending me a check for $7. I thought about cashing it, owing them $6.93 again, and restarting the whole mess, but decided against it. I think I still have the check lying around somewhere. One of these days, I'm going to frame it.In the end, this was probably incredibly petty and more than a little ridiculous. It cost me five or six stamps, not to mention the time I took to craft the letters, tear-off slips, and payment envelopes. However, this was one of those situations in which the money was secondary to the thrill of revenge. For a few cents and an hour at the computer, I experienced the unbridled joy of harassing the harassers. I still remember it with a smile. If Ms. Wilbur is so inclined, I could easily suggest a way to work out some frustration. All she needs to do is send the City of Attleboro a check for 8 cents...Bruce Watson is a freelance writer, blogger, and all-around cheapskate. "Petty Smartass" is his middle name. FUCK COOKIES!

I am not bringing those bitches cookies....here I was being nice and informing them about the policy and rules on parking....you know they had the nerve to tell me management told them they can park there. OH No even after I explained "16 apts, 16 parking spaces" these heffas want to act dumb. Fuck Cookies! And here in black and white in my lease it states. "A vehicle is unauthorize or illegally parked in the apartment community if it parked in a space marked for other resides or units" Section 21 paragraph 9. And they are still adamant...no that pure ignorance. Its on now!

3rd Strike..its on!

OKay so its day three and they are in my parking space. I was feeling like leaving a note on the car, but no...I was told that would be "awkward" and in bad form. So its face to face...but this time...no cookies! Or any baked goods...okay...maybe ...I may need to soften the blow. Or not...hmm this is a tricky one....
I spoke to another neighbour who was also upset by it, but since its 730 am I didnt want to wake the folks to this so....I will wait...but I wont sleep. I am not sleepy yet...but I will wait!
OKay on to good news...so I checked my mail today and I get a monthly magazine from NYU Nursing ...and there on the cover was one for my girlfriend's who just graduated...I wanted to wake her butt up and call her immediately... but I restrained myself.....so I waited 30 minutes then called her butt.
Its so crazy she is still the funny, boisterous person I left her. Giving me the run down with whats happening in Nursing in NYC with the city wide hiring freeze. Its crazy though, she said surprisingly she had such a hard time finding a job, but now she is a Surgical ICU nurse. I am so proud of her.
